2010 DEEP Indonesia Winners Announced

The winners of the prestigious 4th annual DEEP Indonesia international underwater photography competition, hosted by popular websites DivePhotoGuide and Wetpixel, have been announced! The most talented underwater photographers from around the world competed to win over $35,000 in prizes and the glory of being recognized as the world's best. Winners spanned across eleven countries. The images are awe inspiring and speak for themselves. A formal statement from the judges will be posted soon.

The winners of the 4th annual Wetpixel & DivePhotoGuide international underwater photography & video competition in association with DEEP Indonesia have been announced! The submissions were impressive, and we congratulate all of the participants from around the globe for such magnificent imagery. The Best of Show in the stills competition went to Gabriele Donati of Italy. Indicative of the international nature of the event, winners alone represented 22 countries. 2009 Our World Underwater Competition Winners Announced

The winners of the 4th annual Wetpixel & DivePhotoGuide international underwater photography & video competition in association with Our World Underwater have been announced! The submissions were impressive, and we congratulate all of the participants from around the globe for such magnificent imagery. The Best of Show in the stills competition went to Justin Gilligan of Australia. Terry Maas of the US took first in the general video category, while Simon Spear from the UK nabbed first place in the video conservation category. Indicative of the international nature of the event, winners alone represented 22 countries. 2009 Competitions Are In The Judging Phase

The 2009 competitions are now closed and the tedious judging process has begun. Nearly 3,500 entries flooded in from all over the globe, and we are all eager to see the results.

Winners of the Our World Underwater international underwater photo & video competition are just weeks away from being announced and displayed during the Our World Underwater show and film festival in Chicago Feb 20 - 22, 2009. We will update the site with the winners on Feb 20th.   

Winners of the DEEP Indonesia international underwater photo competition will be announced and displayed at the DEEP Indonesia show in Jakarta, Indonesia March 27 - 29, 2009, and updated on the website on March 27th.

David Doubilet Joins The Judging Panel

We are honored to announce that world renowned photographer David Doubilet has joined the judging panel for the 2009 Wetpixel & DivePhotoGuide International Underwater Photo & Video Competition in association with Our World Underwater. Doubilet is currently a Contributing Photographer-in-Residence at National Geographic Magazine. He has documented our changing underwater world since his first assignment with the Geographic in 1971.

The competitions are  hosted by popular websites DivephotoGuide & Wetpixel.com, and are held in association with two dive expos on opposite sides of the world. Our World Underwater in Chicago, USA, and DEEP Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia.
