JAM is a web programmer in Silicon Valley during the week and a passionate naturalist on his own time. He has always loved the oceans but was stuck in the middle of the US until about 3 years ago when he moved to California. He is now a volunteer naturalist and on the board of directors for the Friends of Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. He uses his photography work to educate and introduce marine animals to kids and adults with the goal of fostering awareness of the vast amount of life that needs their help and protection.
